In my research I came across some south african company that tried creating a phone for the deaf and HOH. Email required Address never made public. I wasn't really thrilled about icomminicator program BUT some people found it very useful.
Idommunicator hearing loss isn't that bad for you start but it is new for you because you will use your eyes and might be tired too easy until you get used it. Deafness is put on the back burner. I never heard of that program called icommunicator, this is new to me, and too expensive in my opinion, better off with Sorenson Videophone because it's free in the United States. You can get free only when you have high speed set and you are hard of hearing.

I just lost my hearing last year. Well one night I was watching "Exteme Makeovers Home Edition" a few weeks ago, and they gave a young man who was deaf a computer and a program called "icommunicator" that does exactly what I was looking for.
